October 30, 2002—MegaStar Systems has launched a new equipment acquisition program for companies that allows users in North America to quickly and easily lease MegaStar vertical storage and retrieval systems for two, three, four, and five-year terms.
The program offers leases for MegaLift Vertical Lift Modules (VLMs), MegaStation vertical carousels, and MediaStation Electric Lateral File (ELF) systems. Leases can be tailored to meet specific customer requirements and can include freight, installation, software, and a service contract.
According to the company, all three systems offer increased employee productivity and system throughput, plus improved inventory control for storage and retrieval of a variety of items used in manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, and records keeping operations. The systems take advantage of overhead space to recover up to 75 percent of the floor space required by traditional shelving and cabinets. The MediaStation ELF provides more than 2,700 linear file inches of letter-sized filing space, equivalent to approximately 27 four-drawer file cabinets.
