Meridian and Timberline systems integrate for seamless project control and accounting

Meridian Project Systems, Inc. (MPS) and Timberline Software Corp. have integrated the MPS Prolog Manager 6 and the Timberline Gold Extended accounting software for the AEC industry. The integration, which brings together best-selling project control and accounting systems, eliminates duplicate data entry.

This innovative product, called Prolog DataBridge for Timberline Gold Extended, was developed by Event 1, Inc. Currently in beta testing with companies throughout the U.S. and scheduled for a December 2000 release, DataBridge is designed to help data flow smoothly and consistently between applications. Event 1 is a Timberline Authorized Developer, in partnership with select MPS customers. It develops training tools, software applications and add-ons for the after-market.

Event 1 created this product as part of the DataBridge Alliance Program, which MPS is implementing to integrate its software with other best-of-breed software providers in the AEC industry. MPS is partnering with leading AEC software providers, like Timberline, to create the most complete full-featured tool for the AEC market.

Prior to DataBridge, accounting departments would have had to manually input information into both Timberline Gold Extended and into Prolog Manager—separately—DataBridge allows the information to transfer from one program to another, simultaneously.
