March 4, 2002—Meridian Project Systems (MPS), a software and application service provider of project management solutions, announced the release of Prolog Scheduler, enabling full scheduling and resource management from any Internet connection. Prolog Scheduler allows geographically distributed teams to collaborate on their schedules with up-to-date information, in real-time.
With Prolog Scheduler, online users can:
- integrate with current desktop scheduling applications
- perform cross-project and enterprise-wide resource management, identifying how people and equipment are used and allocated across the organization
- view critical path Gantt Charts and perform extensive “what-if” analyses
- instantly compare the in-progress plan to the last-approved plan
- summarize project status for executive level reports
- receive e-mail/pager alerts when certain thresholds are met, new tasks/projects are added or changes are made to schedules
- track resource costs across tasks and projects and apply to specified periods
Prolog Scheduler is currently available as either a self-hosted software solution or an ASP (application service provider).
