November 29, 2001—Meridian Project Systems (MPS), software and application service provider for comprehensive project management applications, has unveiled a new application, Prolog Scheduler. Prolog Scheduler is the first web-based collaborative scheduling and resource management application in the construction market.

Prolog Scheduler features include:

  • web-based collaborative scheduling and resource management
  • real-time, multi-user capability using a standard internet browser
  • integration with Microsoft Project and Primavera P3 and SureTrak Project Manager
  • cross-project resource management
  • drag-and-drop ability for Gantt Chart tasks
  • “what-if” analysis with 30 levels of “undo” changes
  • timesheet entry for resource management
  • simultaneous management of baseline, approved and current schedules
  • customizable security features

Prolog Scheduler will be available as a packaged software solution for deployment on customer servers, as well as a subscription option at ProjectTalk.com. Construction and design professionals can use Prolog Scheduler with existing applications or as a stand-alone application.

Prolog Scheduler will not only provide the ability to schedule, allocate and track workflow on multiple projects, it will also allow geographically separated project team members to access and alter their project plans online. Contractors, engineers, architects, owners and project managers will be able to interactively access and modify the most up-to-date information on multiple projects, from any computer with a web connection. Prolog Scheduler also manages multiple projects within one database, enabling executive summary views.
