Metabo’s new screwdriver is lightweight and ergonomic

April 25, 2008—Metabo Corporation, a leading international manufacturer of professional grade portable electric power tools and abrasives for industrial, construction and welding applications, has introduced the new SE2800 screwdriver featuring a lightweight, ergonomic design, resulting in fatigue-proof operation. The new tool is ideal for contractors whose jobs entail hand-held tool use for an extended period of time, says the company.

The SE2800 features a compact design with a tool length of only 9 1/2″, making it perfectly balanced in the hand. The screwdriver’s ergonomically designed shell houses a heavy-duty forward and reverse running motor featuring up to 106 inch-lbs of tightening torque. A two-piece depth stop also allows the screwdriver bit to be replaced without losing the selected depth setting and offers convenient one-handed load and release with Metabo’s patented quick bit change system.

The screwdriver’s compact design and light weight of 2.64 lbs allows for extended use without fatigue, and makes it particularly useful when screw driving from on top of a ladder or in an awkward position. The screwdriver’s joist hanger also helps to keep the tool within easy reach and makes working from a ladder or a scaffold safer.
