February 21, 2003—MGE UPS SYSTEMS has unveiled its new B.O.S.S. on-site spare battery system that provides users with fully charged spare batteries at their facility should their UPS system batteries weaken or fail. By having the B.O.S.S. on hand, says MGE UPS, users save valuable time and costs by eliminating the wait for replacement batteries.

Ideal for high-demand applications, the B.O.S.S. features batteries specifically matched to the users’ UPS along with a built-in 12VDC charger that assures optimum charge levels at all times. Housed in a heavy-duty cabinet, the B.O.S.S. provides immediate access to spare batteries, ready for installation by an MGE field service technical.

All of MGE’s three-phase UPS systems are supported by MGE’s 150 field service technicians across the US.

The systems plug into a standard 120 VAC outlet to power the integrated charger and are equipped with casters for easy moving. The B.O.S.S. is available in a variety of models housing from two to 40 sealed lead-acid batteries, each with its own quick-disconnect.

Pricing for B.O.S.S. starts at $680 and is available now as an option to any MGE three-phase UPS system.
