MGE UPS’s Battery Supervisor monitors UPS batteries 24/7

MGE UPS Systems has developed a Battery Supervisor, a round-the clock monitoring contract for UPS batteries. MGE UPS claims to be the first manufacturer to offer this type of service, a low-cost way to make sure batteries are there when needed.

The battery is an active UPS component and has a limited service life (five to ten years depending on the model). The normal service life may, however, be significantly reduced under non-optimal operating conditions. MGE UPS stresses that it is essential to monitor batteries and carry out maintenance or preventive replacement when necessary to guarantee the highest level of UPS availability.

Generally, battery-monitoring solutions are limited to the sale of measurement devices. MGE UPS SYSTEMS goes further with a service that includes both provision and installation of the measurement devices and a contract ensuring rapid servicing in the event of malfunctions. According to MGE, this solution avoids major capital investment by the customer, reduces servicing times, and optimizes system availability. What is more, an alarm may be transmitted directly to the MGE UPS SYSTEMS Teleservice Centre. Contact MGE UPS for further information, as well as their ad on FMLink.
