July 23, 2008—Microban International, Ltd., a global leader in built in antimicrobial product protection, and Absolute Coatings Inc., maker of Last-n-Last brand floor coating products, have partnered to introduce Last-n-Last floor coatings with Microban antimicrobial product protection.
Microban antimicrobial product protection is infused into the coating during the manufacturing process and works continuously to inhibit the growth of microbes, such as stain and odor causing bacteria on the coating. The 24/7 protection will keep flooring surfaces with Last-n-Last coatings cleaner between cleanings. And because Last-n-Last floor coatings are infused with Microban antimicrobial protection during the manufacturing process, the continuous antimicrobial protection that will last the lifetime of the coating, says the company.
Under the agreement, Absolute Coatings will have exclusive rights to the Microban trademark and technology in the floor coatings category in the US. Absolute Coatings Last-n-Last products are available in many independent hardware, paint and Home Centers throughout the US and Canada.
