MicroMain Corp. and Delta Controls launch automated maintenance solution for FMs

April 3, 2002—MicroMain Corporation has teamed up with Delta Controls, Inc., a manufacturer of building automation systems (BAS), to create msDELTA(tm)—an interface between MicroMain’s flagship Computerized Maintenance Management System, MS2000, to the Open Real-time Control Architecture (ORCA) product line from Delta Controls.

Delta’s automation controllers and operator workstation software track runtime meters, equipment status and other controls in real time and with MicroMain’s new interface, alerts and alarms can automatically create work orders and tasks within MS2000. MS2000 collects real-time meter readings to add to asset history and can automatically generate work orders and PMs based on run-time data.

“We focus on simplifying integrated facility management solutions,” says Raymond Rae, Vice President of Delta Controls, “and opening an interface between MS2000 and ORCA does just that. Facility managers now can have an automated process for issuing and managing work orders that are created when an asset’s alarm is triggered.”
