April 6, 2007—This year’s MIPIM Awards were announced in March at the 18th annual MIPIM international property market show in Cannes, France. The MIPIM Awards honor the most outstanding real estate projects of the year. For the first time, the international jury gave out a Special Tribute award to a project in line with sustainable and environmental features.
The winners of the MIPIM Awards 2007, by category, are:
Business Centers: Pórtico – Madrid, Spain
Shopping Centers: Europa Passage – Hamburg, Germany
Refurbished Office Buildings: Belmont Court – Brussels, Belgium
Residential Developments: Colliers Kirinda – Kirinda, Sri Lanka
Hotel & Tourism Resorts: Malmaison Oxford / Oxford Castle – Oxford, UK
Special Jury Award: 7 World Trade Center – New York, USA
Special Tribute: Colliers Kirinda – Kirinda, Sri Lanka
This year’s show attracted a record 26,210 participants, from 8,537 companies from 83 countries, and featured exhibits from 2,523 companies, as well as 40 conference sessions. The next MIPIM will be held from March 11 to 14, 2008 in Cannes.
