April 21, 2006—The MIPIM Awards were presented at the recent annual MIPIM real estate conference to the most outstanding real estate projects globally that were completed between March 2005 and March 2006.
Delegates voted for projects based on the following criteria: the technical and architectural qualities of the projects, the originality of their design, their successful integration into a site, their infrastructure and access facilities, and their service provision.
Organized in association with Immobilien Zeitung, Eta Star, and Parker Green International, the 16th edition of the MIPIM Awards ceremony honored the following real estate projects:
- Business Centers: Home Office Project—London, UK
- Shopping Centers: Dolce Vita Coimbra—Coimbra, Portugal
- Refurbished Office Building: Madou Plaza—Brussels, Belgium
- Residential Development: The Lake Apartments—Vilamoura, Portugal
- Hotel & Tourism Resort: Deluxe Hotel Villa Kennedy—Frankfurt, Germany
- Special jury prize: Weltstadthaus Peek & Cloppenburg—Cologne, Germany
MIPIM is a major real estate event bringing together key industry decision-makers from around the world. The 2006 MIPIM real estate conference, or “The World’s Property Market,” which took place March 14-17, 2006 at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France, broke previous records with an attendance of 21,415, up 21% over 2005 figures. MIPIM 2007 will be held in the Palais des Festivals, Cannes, France, March 13-16.
