May 11, 2007—Modine Manufacturing Company, a diversified leader in thermal management technology and solutions, announced that its Airedale business unit has secured an order valued at more than $3 million to provide heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for schools in New Jersey. This is the largest single order recorded in North America by Airedale during its 20-year history, says Modine.
Airedale will supply 247 Classmate high-efficiency units to 12 elementary schools in Middletown Township, New Jersey. The units feature industry-leading 13 SEER (seasonal energy efficiency ratio) efficiency, fully non-HCFC R410A refrigerant, which is chlorine-free and won’t affect the earth’s ozone layer, two-stage compressor and variable-speed electronic motors. In addition, heat recovery is featured as well as humidity control, an important consideration because the schools are situated near the Atlantic Ocean.
