February 23, 2004—The International Association of Mold Remediation Specialists (IAMRS) has just announced the merger of its membership into what is reportedly the world’s largest environmental charity focusing on environmental, health, and safety issues. This merger will pave the way for the nearly 500 members of IAMRS to provide a new depth and breadth to the Environmental Education Foundation’s (EEF) existing membership base of over 5,000. EEF has already served as a “haven” to such other relatively small environmental organizations as IIFDR, EDH, LPK and GHTT.
The Environmental Education Foundation is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization dedicated to the development and dissemination of information regarding hazards to human health and threats to the environment with particular emphasis on hazards or threats which are associated with occupying, purchasing, selling, or owning residential, commercial, or industrial property; testing methodologies and procedures to detect such hazards and threats; and programs and measures which mitigate or eliminate such hazards.
