October 6, 2008—Montel, a pioneer of high-density mobile storage shelving system solutions, has announced that the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District in Nevada has selected Montel’s Aetnastak cantilever library shelving for the new Centennial Hills Library.
In conjunction with Montel’s local Authorized Distributor, Faciliteq Architectural Interiors, this contract will be for the supply and installation of Montel’s metal library shelving.
The new 45,555-square-foot Centennial Hills Library facility is being constructed on a 7-acre site in northwest Las Vegas. This facility will have a 30,000-square-foot branch library with an additional 15,000-square-foot central operations center, available for future expansion of the library.
The library will be an energy efficient and modern structure that utilizes both sustainable design and construction practices, notes Montel. Designed by architects JMA Architecture Studio and library space programmers Aaron Cohen and Associates, this facility will be seeking LEED Silver Certification when completed.
