Morris Furniture Group acquires Roc and Diamik

July 17, 2006—The Morris Furniture Group, the UK’s largest manufacturer of domestic, contract and commercial furniture, has announced final details of two significant additions to its portfolio with the acquisition of Roc Furniture and Diamik. The two new companies will operate as autonomous businesses as part of the Morris Group of companies.

Roc’s core business is the design, manufacture and distribution of commercial furniture aimed primarily at the public sector. Diamik specializes in providing furniture to the growing education and healthcare sectors and also offers free plans and layouts for clients.

Morris Office Furniture Ltd is part of Morris Furniture Group. The parent group was established in 1904, the office furniture arm was established in 1992.

The Morris Group has been at the forefront of furniture design and innovation for a century. As well as its office furniture arm, its other subsidiaries include G-Plan, Zone, Morris, Relaxateeze, office Contracts and the recently acquired Homestyle which specialises in fitted kitchens and bedrooms.
