The UK’s Morrison Government Services has signed a 325-million, ten-year FM contract with North Lanarkshire District Council. The contract, which begins the end of January, includes the maintenance of 50,000 schools, town halls, libraries, and other public buildings. North Lanarkshire Council has a 33% stake in the new company, Morrison Property Care, which has been created to carry out the contract. The company will employ 700 operatives and staff who will transfer from North Lanarkshire Council.
