May 22, 2006—The National Association of State Facilities Administrators (NASFA) has presented its annual NASFA Innovations Award, which recognizes outstanding achievement by a state facilities organization in establishing an innovative new program or improving an existing program. The program is intended to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in state government.
This year, one Overall Winner was chosen and two programs were given Honorable Mention:
- Overall Winner: Michigan, Public/Private Partnership for Real Estate Services
- Honorable Mention: Georgia, Department of Natural Resources Green Building Program
- Honorable Mention: Texas, Texas Health & Human Services Commission Energy Savings Performance Contract
The winners of the 2006 NASFA Innovations Awards, sponsored by VFA, will be recognized at an awards banquet during the NASCA & NASFA Joint National Conference & Resource Expo in June in Miami.
