August 31, 2007—A new national business organization launched in the San Francisco Bay Area intends to help environmentally friendly businesses and non-profits across the country network, grow, and promote green business practices.
The Green Chamber says it will provide its members with “interactive, state-of-the-art tools and sustainable community resources to improve their businesses and services through cooperation with like-minded organizations.”
The Chamber has launched its first national program, a partnership with electronics recycler Project KOPEG. Member organizations will set out recycling bins for e-waste in their offices or stores, and the Chamber will coordinate picking up and recycling the materials.
