NearSpace and BSA FM partner to deliver employee locator software to health care

October 13, 2003—NearSpace, a company that provides location-centric software applications to health care, higher education, and the event marketplace, has partnered with BSA FM, a division of BSA LifeStructures, one of the nation’s largest health care design firms.

The companies’ first joint project is with Clarian Health Partners, considered by many to be the premier health care provider in Indiana and the Midwest. The companies are collaborating to deliver the interactive-mapping component of an intranet-based Employee Locator. The mapping component utilizes the NearSpace WebLocator product and the Clarian CAFM data that is maintained by BSA FM.

It will soon be available to the sixteen thousand employees who work at Clarian’s Methodist, Indiana University, and Riley Hospitals. Plans to extend the Locator to Palm OS and Pocket PC handhelds, utilizing NearSpace Intelligent Client for PDAs, are underway.
