April 12, 2004—NEC Solutions Inc. has introduced EcoCare, the new recycling component of CustomerCare service program portfolio. EcoCare provides a simple and environmentally friendly approach to assist corporations in the disposal of outdated projector hardware.
Under EcoCare, NEC Solutions America accepts all manufacturers’ projectors up to 40 lbs. for recycling/disposal in accordance with applicable local, state and federal requirements. NEC can even arrange for product pickup and provide packing material for the return of NEC projectors to make the recycling process hassle-free. Upon request, participants will receive an official certificate of disposal for each recycled projector.
The CustomerCare program offers customers a choice of service levels to minimize downtime in the unlikely event that a product requires repair under warranty. NEC provides the following options:
- RepairCare—Provides for maximum three business day repair with free return shipping.
- InstaCare—Provides next business day replacement or three business day repair with free return shipping.
- TravelCare—This loaner program provides a temporary unit during warranty repair in many overseas locations. Overseas repair is included if time permits. Shipping is included.
