March 30, 2009—Neenah Paper has introduced a BlackBerry Smartphone application that provides mobile access to Neenah’s popular eco-calculator. It allows the user to instantly calculate the environmental savings from using paper made with post consumer fiber as well as the savings from using paper made with 100% renewable energy, says the company.
By entering the amount of paper needed for a project, the Neenah Paper eco-calculator provides the environmental savings realized by choosing recycled papers consisting of different levels of post consumer fiber content. Displayed immediately on the screen, the savings are measured in wood, water, energy, carbon emissions, and solid waste.
Neenah Paper notes that this instant access is an important tool when energy conservation and sustainability are contributing factors in a customer’s decision-making. The company offers a wide selection of recycled and sustainable premium papers including the Classic and Environment brands.
