June 21, 2004—Trendway’s Choices furniture system has new diverse product enhancements. Choices, a panel-hung and freestanding system of options, now has a new collection of work surface shapes, a number of storage options, keyboard trays, task lighting, and new electrical system. The additions, says Trendway, is intended to address current worker needs for collaboration and ergonomics. All new components to Options were displayed at Trendway’s Merchandise Mart showroom during June’s NeoCon.
The new shapes include Extended Drop-Shape, Extended Flared, and Arc Peninsula surfaces; Cockpit Corner; Extended Cockpit Corner, and Arc Transition surfaces; plus Bowed and Right Angle counter tops. Work surfaces have a high-pressure laminate top with either a vinyl or wood edge and were designed with a 5/8-in. gap along the back edge for flexibility and easy cable management.
The mechanisms of the adjustable keyboard tray can adjust height without knobs or handles and allow complete knee clearance. A bottom Open Panel for enhanced air ventilation offers two base options: a standard base, which accepts PowerPac electrical system, and a hardwire base.
A new under-counter task light is available in more sizes and all trim colors: charcoal, gray, stucco, pebble, and sand. A new Personal Task Light has a 16-inch-llong adjustable arm with two adjustment points, and the light can be freestanding or mounted to a work surface.
