June 30, 2003—Puma Collection designed by William Sklaroff for Harden Contract captures the “arrested energy” of nature’s own puma. The collection integrates executive, conference, and upholstered lounge seating, as well as solid-wood occasional tables.
The centerpiece of the Puma Collection is the mid-or high-back executive chair, in a neatly tailored profile that is contemporary, classic, and original. Executive seating employs advanced forms of concealed passive ergonomics that adapt to the sitter. It achieves the proper foundation for the spine without the gymnastics of multiple lever adjustments, gas springs, and knows, explains Harden. Pumb provides memory-foal lumbar support, recline and forward knee tilt, and infinite height adjustment.
Puma employs Ultimate Comfort Gel (UCG), a new passively ergonomic back technology exclusive to Harden Contract in the seating industry. UCG represents a new form and use in state-of-the-art thermoplastic technology. A Pliable gel material is formed to a precise, shape, size, and thickness, sealed within an ellipsoidal-shaped membrane, then sewn and hidden in the upper back of Puma executive chairs.
UCG responds instantly and subtly to all user movement and any degree of human back pressure.
