NeoCon ’03: Herman Miller refreshes colors, finishes to its icon Aeron chair

June 30, 2003—Herman Miller introduces new Pellicle weaves, colors, and finishes to its Aeron chair, known for its distinctive looks and pioneering ergonomics. The new color, material, finish options called Pellicle Waves and Pellicle Tuxedo are visually lighter with a more open weave design. The original weave is now called Pellicle Classic.

Pellicle Waves features widely spaced lines that curve uniformly and horizontally across the chair’s seat and back. Pellicle Tuxedo has a more formal and dramatic look. Long, narrow triangular shapes traverse the seat and back for a sophisticated option for executive, management, and conference spaces.

Colors for the new Pellicle designs are simple neutrals that range from warm to cool, light to dark, and blend easily into a range of interior palettes. They are also designed to coordinate with new Aeron finishes as well as new paints and finishes on Herman Miller systems and furniture.

The new Aeron options were introduced during NeoCon, held annually in June at The Merchandise Mart in Chicago. For more information contact Herman Miller as well as see their ad on FMLink.
