June 23, 2003—KI describes the Impulse chair designed by Giancarlo Piretti as having effective ergonomic support, a fresh esthetic, and a highly competitive price point. An exposed pair of aluminum uprights supports the two-part back. The lower section of the back, which articulates, enables the user to recline while maintaining support of the user’s lumbar area. KI explains that with many task chairs, the user loses contact with the lower back, explaining that the lower portion of the Impulse chair’s back tilts toward the user so that the chair maintains contact with the user’s lumbar area even in the recline position.
Backed by KI’s Ten-Year Structural Integrity Warranty, Impulse can be ordered with or without arms, and with seat and back upholstery using standard KI, Pallas, and COM fabrics.
