June 27, 2003—Trendway Corp. introduces its Trend Seating Collection of products designed by Interstuhl of Germany. Trend Seating complements Trendway’s standard line of seating products with some “trendy alternatives.” First selections are Xantos and Yos.
The polished aluminum frame of Xantos is set off by a patented 3D fabric mesh back. The chair can also be upholstered, which is how it was seen on the TV show American Idol.
Yos, developed to adapt to individual work styles, has a height- and depth-adjustable lumbar pad with an air-pressure pump for individualized positioning and support.
Both chairs have a patented seat-depth adjustment that rolls/retracts the front of the seat to fit the user’s thigh length and a five-star aluminum base.
The Trend Seating Collection was introduced during NeoCon, held annually in June at The Merchandise Mart, Chicago.
