November 3, 2003—INVISTAT, the manufacturer of Antron commercial carpet fiber, recently announced the results of the color voting that took place in the Antron showroom at NeoCon 2003.
Results indicate a preference for clean, bright colors, driven by social, cultural, and economic trends. More than fifteen hundred attendees voted for their ten favorite colors among the 367 displayed in the showroom.
The most popular colors among designers were clear and blue-cast reds, blues, green-cast browns, oranges, purples, and yellow-greens. Neutral colors such as creams, beiges, and grays, as well as golds, copper, rusts, and browns, were among the least favorite.
All colors shown were codified to the Pantone for Architecture and Interiors System. “Laquer red,” 18-1764 TPX, received the most votes, followed by “forget-me-not,” 18-1764 TPX, “water,” 18-3937 TPX, “old friends,” 18-3937 TPX, and “border line,” 8-1016 TPX, respectively.
