June 17, 2005—Details, Inc., a Steelcase company, designed the FYI Flat Panel Monitor Arm with no mechanical adjustments for movement, so the user can adjust it (and the monitor) without effort, says the company. FYI received a Gold award in the category of Technology Support in the Best of NeoCon competition.
The key features of the monitor arm include a built-in counter-balance tool so that the user can easily balance the monitor upon installation; field replacement of the gas cylinder if the size of a new monitor requires change; Quick-Connect capability for easy connection (or disconnection) of a monitor; integrated cable and wire management system; variety of mounting options. FYI was designed by IDEO.
