NeoCon’05: KI builds a garage for laptops

June 13, 2005—KI has designed the LapTop Garage, which makes it possible for any room to adapt to multiple uses and reduce the need for dedicated computer classrooms or labs, the company says. When laptop technology access is needed, says KI, the Laptop Garage provides adequate space and cord management for laptops. Should extra workspace be needed, the user simply pulls down the garage door for a flat writing surface.

An optional keyless locking system can be programmed to simultaneously lock (and unlock) an entire room of Laptop Garages or individual units. The Laptop Garage was designed for use on InTandem, PowerComm, DataLink, and WorkZone tables. The Laptop Garage was introduced during NeoCon, held annually in June at The Merchandise Mart, Chicago.
