NeoCon’06: Fixtures displays array of institutional stacking chairs and tables

June 26, 2006—Fixtures furniture is rebranded. That is the word that Fixtures Furniture announced during NeoCon’06, saying that the rebranding includes a coordinated palette of finishes; 16 opaque thermoplastics, nine translucent thermoplastics, 10 frame finishes; 10 laminates and matching trim. Among displays of a full range of seating products in its Merchandise Mart showroom, Fixtures Furniture’s newest line is called Pulse, designed by Pete Haas for training and study applications across a wide range of user sectors.

Pulse emphasizes its ergonomic design. The secret, says Fixtures, lies in the combination of cleverly engineered, articulating one-piece welded frame that moves with weight leverage and a separate lumbar support panel that flexes with the user. Both movements work in combination or independently, and require no levers, knobs, and clumsy controls. Pulse, says Fixtures Furniture, facilitates the fidget factor.
