June 23, 2006—Lees Carpet says its Menswear Collection was inspired by big city, high-end designer fashion. Designed by HOK Chicago, the collection includes four tufted, textured, multi-level tip-sheared designs, called: Shirt, a cut/loop stripes; Tie, large-scale diagonals; Sweater, reminiscent of herringbone; and Jacket, tailored, small-scale texture.
The collection, shown in The Merchandise Mart showroom during NeoCon’06, is available in 15 colorways, enhanced with Duracolor, Lees’ own patented stain-resistant dye technology integrated into the fiber. It provides permanent resistance to stain, soil and fading. With Duracolor, says Lees, 99 percent of common stains can be cleaned with just water and mild detergent. DuraTech soil protection shields the yarn-dyed Antron Legacy nylon.
The Menswear Collection is CRI Green Label Plus certified, and its recommended adhesives meet the most stringent rules for VOC emissions. Produced in an ISO 14001-certified manufacturing facility, the Menswear Collection ensures adherence to the highest environmental standards.
