June 26, 2006—Academy, a featured presentation in SIS-USA’s Merchandise Mart showroom during NeoCon, is composed of two different ranges of classroom products called I-Learn and Q-Learn.
I-Learn consists of three basic products: the Secundo chair that comes in three sizes and three different base configurations; I-Desks that have fixed or variable height adjustments, and the I-Go triangular stackable table that moves on a single caster for flexibility within the classroom.
Q-Learn offers fully adjustable desks and chairs that students can easily raise and lower. This flexibility promotes improved posture and reduces chance of back injury, says the company. Q-Learn’s plastic shell chair is designed to easily adjust along the steel cantilevered frame. The Q-Learn desk has two pullout spring-loaded levers so that student can raise and lower the desktop for a seated student to a full-standing position. It also tilts.
The Q-Pod has an extended frame with an attached saddle seat. The table portion functions the same as the independent model but the seat is ergonomically created in a backless design to support the student in an ergonomically correct seated position. Rear casters permit ease of movement to locate q-Pods in alternate positions around the room.
Both the I-Learn and Q-Learn products in the Academy line are offered with SIS-USA’s 20-year limited warranty.
Also announced during NeoCon is a new modular system designed so that users can create stage, seating, and presentation environments quickly and without tools. Called Stage Systems, it is created using 32mm modular steel tube frames in varying heights
