NeoCon’07: Davis Furniture’s Basic Table folds, unfolds with the pull of a lever

June 18, 2007—During NeoCon The World’s Trade Fair at The Merchandise Mart, in Chicago, Davis Furniture introduced its Basic Table, a simple-to-use folding table.

The design allows users to fold and unfold the pair of legs without turning the table. The user holds the table with one hand and pulls the lever with the other.

The Basic Table Series is offered in two leg styles folding and fixed. Fixed legs are used when tables do not need to be stored.

All tables come in three widths: 24″, 31 “, and a 39 “; and two lengths: 63″ and 79″. Fixed legs are also available in two square sizes: 39 ” or 55″. Custom sizes are available upon request but folding tables cannot go below 63″.

The folding tables are available only in laminate tops with stacking bumpers and stacks 4 inches high on a special transport card. Up to 15 tables can be placed on the cart. Five standard solid laminates are offered with a self-matching edge. Ten wood grain laminates are also offered and can be specified with the five standard solid laminate edge bands.

All legs are available in brushed aluminum. Legs are standard with adjustable glides, or locking casters can be specified as an option. Fixed leg tables are available in the above laminates and wood veneers, with self-matching edge bands of Beech, Cherry, Maple, Oak, and Sycamore. All rectangular tables are also available with aluminum modesty panels.
