June 25, 2007—C2, part of the Herman Miller Be Collection, is a personal heating and cooling unit and the newest technology-driven design from the Herman Miller Creative Office. It responds to one of the most vexing issues in the work environment: personal temperature control. It was awarded Silver in the Workplace Technologies category in The Best of NeoCon competition.
The C2 climate control device is built upon advanced thermal-electric technology. Herman Miller has an exclusive license with BSST, a subsidiary of Amerigon Incorporated. Amerigon is the leader in the application of this technology in automotive seating. C2 allows the user to select warm or cool, depending on individual preference. C2 is energy-efficient and safe, says Herman Miller.
The Be Collection, including C2, was unveiled in the Herman Miller National Design Center at The Merchandise Mart in Chicago, during the annual June event, NeoCon.
