June 9, 2008—Castlemark, the Chinese manufacturer that has been making chairs for other firms, is now rolling out is own brand of contract seating to dealers. For 11 years, says Castlemark, the company has been manufacturing furniture to meet or exceed American, European, and Japanese standards.
Its new seating collection called Edge 1, designed by Zero1, is described as edgy, ergonomic, environmental and economical. The company also says it combines talented US designers with development and production engineering teams in Asia. The streamlined process focuses on quality innovation, speed, and reducing cost. The company wants to offer high quality, high design furniture at affordable prices.
The contemporary-styled chairs “embrace Western standards in quality control and testing, and seating products are designed and tested to exceed ANSI BIFMA quality and safety standards and/or European EIN ergonomic standards,” says the company.
Edge 1 will be on view at Castlemark’s show space in The Merchandise Mart, Chicago, during NeoCon World Trade’s Fair, June 9-11.
