NeoCon’08: HON designs furniture for K-12; also offers SmartLink storage

June 10, 2008—HON’s SmartLink classroom furniture is a comprehensive, visually coordinated adaptable and durable technology-centric furniture solution, says the company. It is designed to organize and manage the K-12 classroom with a single product, explains HON.

In creating SmartLink, a Best of NeoCon Silver award winner for Education Solutions, HON sought to create furnishings that would make the best use of space while providing the ultimate in productivity by configuring for a variety of learning and teaching environments, from kindergarten to high school classrooms. The company also offers flexible storage and wall systems that can be customized for any classroom while it synchronizes teacher and student desks for a complete classroom look. And it was designed to hold up to high traffic and heavy use, the company notes.

SmartLink has four key components: a teacher station, modular storage, a wall rail system and student desks. As its name suggests, SmartLink connects the teacher, the students and the environment in a synergistic manner designed to foster an interactive learning process.

HON displays and explains the SmartLink mobile and modular storage and wall rail system in its showroom at The Merchandise Mart, Chicago, during NeoCon World’s Trade Fair, June 9-11.
