NeoCon’08: MechoShade intros quiet, powerful WhisperTrac drapery control

June 18, 2008—MechoShade Integration introduces its WhisperTrac family of versatile, powerful, yet quiet motorized drapery products with a clean, monochromatic design and a European aesthetic and engineering. MechoShade Integration is a division of MechoShade Systems, Inc., a leading manufacturer of WindowManagement solutions for architects and designers.

MechoShade is easy to install and keeps light and heat out of the building, making it easier for other energy control sensors and devices to do their job. Available in a wide range of colors, and easy to install, even in existing spaces.

WhisperTrac is available in lengths up to 58 feet and can be curved to the tightest radii in the industry, the company says. It uses a standard bus network, common aluminum profile and provides greater flexibility in motor selection than other systems.

With 24-volt power, the systems operate as easily as plugging in a lamp.

WhisperTrac seamlessly integrates with third-party control systems such as Crestron, Lutron, Vantage/Legrand, Control4 and others. The motors can be daisy chained and then integrated with existing third-party lighting or audio/visual systems.

The two interchangeable motor models of the WhisperTrac systemsthe HD20 and the MD32feature universal mounting capability so that installers can determine in the field whether to use a right or left drive. The WhisperTrac motorized draperies can then be operated through decorator-style compatible paddle switches, two- and four-button switches, a 15-channel infrared (IR) transmitter or, when ordered with RTS motor receiver, an RTS wireless wall switch or transmitter.
