June 25, 2008—A new adjustable Electric Work Counter is now available with all Remstar MediaStation Electrical Lateral Filing Systems (ELFs), making every file or item 100% accessible to every user regardless of their height and comfort level, says the company.
The work counter adjusts easily to any operator’s height with a simple push of a button, increasing accessibility by accommodating every operator and complies with both the ADA and Barrier Removal Act requirements. Remstar introduced the Electric Work Counter at NeoCon 2008 in Chicago, June 9-11.
The Electric Work Counter has an easy up and down activation button that provides one touch motion to meet the needs of every user and at that exact time. With a simple push of a button, the work counter can be adjusted down to sitting position at 29.
5 inches, up to standing position at 39.3 inches, and anywhere in between, says the company.
The ELF’s electric work counter helps eliminate bad posture and poor ergonomic conditions, leading to increased productivity. The work counter delivers items to an operators “golden zone,” minimizing the bending, reaching and lifting that reduces picking efficiency and can lead to on-the-job injuries. In addition, items are automatically presented to the work counter at each individual’s work height, eliminating wasted search time.
