NeoCon’09: Keilhauer’s Flit stacking/side chair comes in three heights

June 24, 2009 Flit’s stacking/side chair, introduced during NeoCon World’s Trade Fair at The Merchandise Mart, Chicago, comes in three styles: armchair, barstool and counter stool. It can be ordered with a choice of casters and glides, and with or without arms. The collection was designed by Derek McLeod.

A knit mesh forms the back, which flexes to the body’s contours and ensures that there is minimal contact with its tubular steel frame. The upholstered seat wraps a thin line over the frame, rolling down at the front to remove any leg pressure, and curving at the back for maximum comfort and support.

The chairs and stools with arms have armcaps that are made of black urethane or elegantly sculpted hardwood maple, which can be stained using Keilhauer’s standard wood stains, or custom stained.

For the knit mesh back, specifiers can choose from four fresh, neutral colors. The tubular steel frame is available in Keilhauer’s powder coat colors, or in chrome.
