September 28, 2005—Neutral Posture says that improper foot support can compromise posture, safety and health. Its new product, The Step*N*Up, is designed to change that.
Stool footrings offer support for the feet to help maintain contact between the lower back and the backrest, improving posture and elevating the feet and legs for improved circulation, notes the company. Neutral Posture has gone a step further with the introduction of Step*N*Up, a wide, stable footrest with height-adjustable legs that fits around the cylinder and extend beyond the reach of a footring. The flat platform provides a level surface to support the feet and allow for the correct ergonomic posture of an open angle at the knees and ankles, the company says.
The Step*N*Up is built to support full body weight, serving as a stable step for safe entry and exit from the stool. It can be set to multiple depth (13″, 15″ and 17″ from the cylinder) and height positions (7″ to 12″) to accommodate various user heights and leg lengths, and up to three units can be installed simultaneously to create steps.
Its suitable for anybody who sits in a stool, especially in labs, manufacturing and other industrial facilities, and even service counters, like those in banks and customer service areas in retail shops, says the company.
