February 19, 2003—Massachusetts-based Aircuity Inc. has developed a new technology that completely updates facility management through periodic air evaluation.
The Aircuity system consists of: a portable air sampling device; a secure, Web-based data collection and reporting tool; and an artificial intelligence-based diagnostic program. It monitors and analyzes temperature, relative humidity, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, airborne particles, total volatile organic compounds, mold and pollen, ozone, and radon.
The technology highlights a building’s deviations from set performance guidelines, and shows the variance from previously established values specific to each building. Building professionals use the insight from Aircuity’s system to catch problems in the infancy stage, before they become hazardous or expensive to correct, and to realize new areas for cost savings.
