January 30, 2008—The Design Green Alliance has been launched this month, aimed at heightening the presence of sustainable furniture.
The co-op of furniture manufacturers offers its members assistance with marketing and offers them chances to show their wares alongside other sustainable furniture makers at trade shows and conventions.
By creating what it calls a “green pavilion” of exhibitors at shows, the Design Green Alliance hopes to show the scope and viability of the sustainable furniture movement.
On the marketing side, companies affiliated with the Design Green Alliance can receive help and advice with advertising and media campaigns, event management and finding appropriate sales markets.
The co-op also offers online articles, advice, Webinars and educational events. The only cost for manufacturers and vendors to join the group is fees to exhibit at trade shows. For more information, see the Web site.
