Johnson Controls, Inc. announces an agreement that extends its relationship as integrated facility management service provider for Hoffmann-LaRoche, Inc. (Roche) until December 2003. Worth an estimated $30 million per year, the new contract covers 3.5 million square feet of facilities. Since 1998, Johnson Controls has provided facility management services to support Roche’s pharmaceutical operations in Nutley and Totowa, New Jersey.
Under the new contract, Johnson Controls Integrated Facility Management (IFM) will provide maintenance and repair for the facility interior, the building envelope, as well as building and site equipment. Johnson Controls will also manage the operation of utilities services, the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), and the maintenance of HVAC and waste water systems. In addition to operating Roche’s on-site call center, Johnson Controls will provide site services that include mail center services, landscaping, vehicle maintenance, site waste management, and recycling program.
