March 2, 2007—Azrock by Tarkett has launched Added Dimensions, a new design tool specifically created to customize commercial tile. Available March 1, 2007, this tool enables facilities designers, architects and flooring contractors to customize Azrock’s most popular homogeneous products by selecting and customizing the pattern, texture, tile size, and grout treatment.
Designed to maximize creativity, explains Azrock, Added Dimensions offers hundreds of flooring choices, each customized per order. Added Dimensions uses the top-selling Azrock tiles available in ColorWorks: Milano, Cortina Grande and SolidAir.
Added Dimensions allows designers to choose from Milano, Cortina Grande and SolidAir. Milano replicates the look of natural stone, with multicolored chips pressed into the tile to deliver its variegated appearance. Cortina Grande offers 26 colors with non-directional chips spread throughout the color and thickness of each tile, a flooring option for high traffic areas. SolidAir is Azrock’s newest commercial homogeneous tile, which contains an eye-catching color palette.
Clients may select a smooth surface or one of the textured surface options: slate or rustic stone, then choose between 12-inch-by-12-inch or 16-by-16-inch tiles.
Clients may also add GroutFit to Added Dimensions tile. The company reports that GroutFit was the first solution in the resilient flooring market to provide a seamless appearance to a grouted floor. Featuring grout on two sides of the tile allows tiles to be quarter-turned and once installed all you see is a beautiful, realistic floor, says the company.
An interactive CD ROM enables designers to work with the products on their personal computer.
