April 15, 2005—A new HemiPleat filter from Farr Air Pollution Control (APC) offers greatly extended service life and lower pressure drop compared to standard dust collector cartridge filters, according to the company.
The HemiPleat line will include filter elements to fit virtually all types of new and existing cartridge dust collectors, providing high efficiency capture of dry dusts in a full range of applications.
Typical applications for the HemiPleat filter include blasting (room and wheel); carbon black/toner dust; foundry sand/metal pouring; fiberglass manufacturing; food additives and spices; laser/plasma cutter fumes; lead and other toxic dust; mineral, silica dust; mixing and blending dust; paper trim/scrap systems; pharmaceutical dust; plastic and composite dust; pneumatic conveyed dust; sanding and grinding dust; talc and cornstarch dust; thermal/flame spray; welding fumes; and wood dust, the company says.
