New OSHA site promotes safety in steel industry

August 7, 2006—Safety in the steel industry is the focus of a new Safety and Health Topics page on the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Web site.

The Basic Steel Products page is a product of OSHA’s alliances with The Steel Group and the Crane, Hoist, and Monorail Manufacturers consortium.

The page contains links to OSHA workplace standards for the manufacturing of steel products. Numerous additional resources are also available, including safety tips on avoiding industrial hazards, and information on safety and health case studies.
