New PG and E Web site helps formulate and evaluate energy-efficiency programs

February 21, 2005—A new web site has been launched by Pacific Gas and Electric Company to disseminate “best practices” for designing, implementing, and evaluating energy-efficiency programs nationwide. Visitors to the site will find executive summaries and full reports on best practices by program area, as well as summary profiles of individual programs.

The purpose of this best practices project is to develop and communicate excellent practices nationwide in order to enhance the design, implementation, and evaluation of energy efficiency programs, according to the company. The project uses a benchmarking methodology to identify best practices for a wide variety of program types.
