New report explores indoor air quality issues related to paint

January 9, 2004—Air Quality Sciences Inc., an Atlanta-based indoor air quality company, has released a comprehensive report on indoor air quality issues relevant to the paint industry. “Beneath the Surface: Managing indoor air quality issues for better products, better business in the paint industry” is designed to help paint manufacturers understand indoor air quality issues, learn about steps they can take to manage their products’ emissions, and advance their business through product emissions testing.

The report lists emissions commonly released from paint, discusses the chemistry of paint, and contains information about different options for product emissions testing. It also examines volatile organic compound (VOC) content versus VOC emissions and explores why “no-VOC” content paints often have VOC emissions.

A complimentary copy of “Beneath the Surface” can be downloaded at the Air Quality Sciences Web site.
