October 9, 2006—A new free Web site is set to improve the resources and images available to surveyors in everyday practice. The site also aims to further the profession with readily accessible links to the RICS, College of Estate Management, ABE, CIOB and other organizations.
The aim is to keep the site as a simple quick reference aid. The site provides:
- Images of buildings, defects and/or repairs
- Links to related sites
- Access to all
The site will rely on images contributed by people. Contributors can have their images attributed to their firm or themselves, so recognition is given to their support. The development of this type of site acknowledges that the way people work has changed in the last 15 years.
The College of Estate Management is the leading international body providing distance learning education and training to the property professions and construction industry.
