December 20, 2002—Xerox Corporation claims its new color printer is the fastest workgroup color printer available today, leveraging single-pass technology that transfers a full-color image to paper in one pass instead of the four required by most traditional workgroup color printers. The Xerox Phaser 7300 tabloid color printer produces 30 pages per minute (ppm) in color and 37 ppm in black-and-white. It features a powerful 500 MHz processor and up to 2400 dpi resolution, producing high-quality color prints at maximum speed.
The Phaser 7300 offers advanced media capabilities including Smart Trays technology, which automatically displays the type of media available in each of the printer’s paper trays, and Auto Thickness Sensor, which automatically adjusts toner density for consistent print quality. The Phaser 7300 handles a variety of media types, including standard office paper, labels, transparencies, and custom media up to 12″ x 36″.
The Phaser 7300 has comprehensive software tools that reduce time needed for set-up, installation, and maintenance while further enhancing ease of use. These tools include Phaser Installer for easy set-up and simple installation, CentreWare Web for enterprise-wide printer management and Printing Scout, which alerts busy users to low toner, low paper, or other potential printing delays.
With an estimated retail price of $3,499, the printer is marketed to medium- to large-sized workgroups. In addition to the Xerox Total Satisfaction Guarantee, the Phaser 7300 has a one-year, free on-site service warranty. Xerox offers toll-free telephone support and online customer support. The Phaser 7300 is available through Xerox, resellers, and dealers.
